We’re all afraid of losing people. We worry and we do everything we can to keep them—to win them over like a prize. We act like we can’t live without them. But time always tells the truth, and the first thing we do when they leave us is take a breath. Then we take another.
Really, we cling to those relationships, whether friendships or romances, because we believe that leaving their safe embrace means those feeling will never recognize us again. But they always do. So maybe it’s time we start treating ourselves like the prize rather than waiting for someone else to make us feel that way.

What you need:
origami paper or Post-it notes
glue
- Fold the paper in half diagonally. This will make a triangle.
- Fold the left and right corners up to the top of the triangle. This make a square.
- Fold the same points down. The folded edge will line up exactly on top of the outside edge of the square.
- Open up the flaps you have just created and flatten them.
- Fold the top triangles towards you so they are level with the edges of the paper.
- Fold the side triangles in along the crease you made earlier.
- Glue the outside triangles together to make the petal.
- Make four more petals and glue them together to make the full flower.
Making this. It’s super easy!
